Stop Destroying Movies !! Anti Piracy !!
Pass by this pirated shop in some part of sin which I won't name where (I still wanna live longer ) and was utterly shock that such a shop still exist in sin as I tought the authorities already sweep all these shop away.. So I decided to take a risk and ask my friend to took a photo with my N97 Mini when the shopkepper is not looking.. sounds like "Wu Jian Dao" I admit it is very dangerous to commit such an act as it will put our lives at risk with those tatoo thugs looking after the shop.. I don't see myself a hero just hope to do my part for the movie industry as I used to work in the movie industry .
$8 per DVD on all this movies... guranteed clear as what they say. Buy 3 free 1. We walk out of the shop as fast as our legs could take us to avoid being discovered. There is this commercial ad in cinema where this boy will ask his father what is a movie ticket and what is a cinema ?? Father explained that all these is a thing of the past and no longer exist .. We might laugh at this ad but it could come true if we keep suppporting piracy. :-( I agree that there are some movies that is not worth the price to go and watch since cinema tickets is constantly rising, but we can just wait for the ORINGINAL DVD to release or simply miss it..
So let's play out part today by not supporting piracy.. Movie "ROSE" is coming up so let's do our part by going down to our nearest cinemas to watch the movie .. this is how we can give our support to the actors or actress.. Duration of a movie is usually 120mins but the making of the movie is much much more than that.. The efforts they put in the making of the movie deserve our respect and support !!!

'She was my entire life'

MR MICHAEL Puhaindran knew that lawyer Lo Hwei Yen was the woman he wanted to marry from the moment he met her. It was a brief encounter, along bustling Change Alley at Raffles Place, in 2006 when Ms Lo was a pupil with law firm Drew and Napier.
The 37-year-old recalled that he asked his friend: 'Who's the babe?' So began their eight-month courtship, which led to their Bali wedding last year.
A celebration of Hwei Yen's life
More than 100 family members and close friends of lawyer Lo Hwei Yen gathered at her wake last night to celebrate her life.
... more
It is obvious Mr Puhaindran is still reeling from the loss of the woman he said he 'waited all his life to find'. Minutes before he was to speak with reporters, he appeared distracted and lost in thought.
The only time he broke into a smile was when a friend pointed to a picture of Ms Lo and said something to him.
'She had a smile that captured you. When you saw her smile, you knew that this was a person who smiled with her whole being,' Mr Puhaindran said, when asked what had struck him most about his 28-year-old wife.
A second, chance encounter at coffee shop Spinelli presented Mr Puhaindran with an opportunity to ask Ms Lo out for lunch. Their first date was at San Marco's at the Fullerton Hotel.
Certain that Ms Lo was the one for him, Mr Puhaindran popped the question on the first day of their holiday in the Maldives. She accepted immediately. 'I had not planned to do it so soon, but I guess I just could not wait,' he said.
They also had the same taste in music. 'Even though she's nine years younger than me, she liked retro music. We had a really good time,' said Mr Puhaindran, referring to the Kylie Minogue concert they attended the day before she left for Mumbai.
Like all newly weds, they had the occasional tiff, but Mr Puhaindran described the last few weeks he had with her as the 'best time of my life'. 'She was my entire life, and everything I did, I did for her.'
He loved his wife so much that he would not even let her get wet in the rain.
'I would do all I could to make her life as smooth as possible and she would do the same for me. Being unable to protect her...' Mr Puhaindran broke off mid-sentence, clearly struggling with his pain.
The support of family and friends has helped him cope with his grief. 'Before coming back to Singapore, I didn't know how I was going to carry on.'
Regarding the future, Mr Puhaindran said that he is now 'taking things one day at a time'. He has kept himself busy with the wake arrangements, making sure that everything is perfect, down to every last detail.
It is clear that Mr Puhaindran's wife is still the centre of his life. When asked what she would have wanted for him, he faltered for a moment as he struggled to contain his emotions.
His voice cracked as he said: 'She would want me to live my life
after finished reading this article, my tears drop ....... at times i wonder why god must play a trick on this couple who is so ever loving to each other . never easy to to cope for the loss of a loved one especially that someone is someone who will walk with you for the rest of your life. ....
It teaches us to treasure the people whom so ever shower their love on us.. treasure the moments.. never take things for granted.. here I wish Mr Micheal Puhaindran all the best...

ThanksGiving Day !!!

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival celebrated primarily in Canada and the United States. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. While perhaps religious in origin, Thanksgiving is now primarily identified as a secular holiday. [1]
The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. The traditional "first Thanksgiving" is the celebration that occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621. The Plymouth celebration occurred early in the history of what would become one of the original thirteen colonies that became the United States. The celebration became an important part of the American myth by the 1800s.[citation needed] This Thanksgiving, modeled after celebrations that were commonplace in contemporary Europe, is generally regarded as America's first. Elementary school teacher Robyn Gioia has argued that the earliest attested "thanksgiving" celebration in what is now the United States was celebrated by the Spanish on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida.[2][3] Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members and friends .

Childhood Memories.

Does Tom & Jerry ring a bell to you ?? I guess it does to every human being on earth who had a television set at home ... Today one of my relatives came over for a visit and being a good host I search for T&J on internet and broadcast it to my 52inch TV for my 5 years old niece to watch.. I joined her for a while and when I was watching T&J, suddenly memories of my childhood flooded my brain.
I remembered back then when I was just 5 years of age, my mum told me that I will sit down in front of the TV at evening time waiting for T&J to start. Somehow my mum used T&J as a bait for me to finish my rice or the veg I hated so much.. T&J was basically my first watched cartoon and back then we don't have cartoon network on Cable TV or internet unlike now. How I remembered that I will do everything my mum ask of me in order to get to watch my favourite cartoon.
The cartoon is so simple , every eposide is the same Tom trying to catch Jerry and Jerry trying to outwit Tom to escape his clutches. . but yet I like the cartoon so much.. I still remember my mum favourite pharse " if you don't finish your rice , the mata (police) will catch you " In my kindergarten (pre school) days I remembered that I always wink at one of the girl sitting at a corner and she will wink back at me.. We talked about being together forever but lost contact halfway when her family migrated.
I used to go to this mama stall and buy my favourite "sheng Bao" (ice cube) .. it comes in bandung , milo or orange flavour. It only cost 10 cents back then.. Now it is almost impossible to get one.. I guess If I will to continue my childhood memories it will never end.. These are the some of the stuff that I will always remember and probably tell my grandchild.
How about you ?? what is your most memorable childhood memories? or what come to your mind when you see this Tom & Jerry cartoon ?? ......... How I just wish to go back to my childhood days where without worries and so carefree.. Argh ............. :(

A 70-year-old man has taken to selling Singapore Sweep tickets and religious amulets on the streets so that he could help care for stray dogs.
Mr Lee Kwang Min spends at least $3,000 a month on his dogs, half of it to rent shophouses for them. The rest is spent on dog food, vet fees and travelling costs to feed the strays he finds on the streets.
The bachelor has already spent his life savings, including his CPF savings, to help the dogs.>>
After reading this article , I for once simply can't believe that such a person do exist on mother earth, the saying goes like this " good man die early " I was put to shame after reading what he did for all the stray dogs.. To think that I actually treat my dogs good enough. This remind us that CPF savings can be use for good deeds rather than lavish on china woman... at least Mr Lee know that even though he finished his CPF savings ,the dogs will still stick to him with loyalty unlike those china woman who will left those old man once they suck dry their CPF savings.. No offence to china woman as what I refer is only the minority.

What will happen if I have a million !!

Today is the day where all wanna be rich singaporeans will queue up at any betting stations to lay their hands on this TOTO Lottery Draw.. and the prize money had been snowball to SGD$5.5million. Like all singaporeans , I too queue up at one of the betting stations to place my bet .. as I queue , i visualize that what will happen if i manage to strike and won the SGD$5.5million.. In all my life I never been lucky and the most I won in lottery is only $1000.
I will stash away 3million in a fixed deposit in a bank which pays good interest.. left 2.5million.. I will buy myself a high end district penthouse and a lamborgini which I will end up with 500k and I will donate 200k to a really in need charity although i have doubts.. I will use my last 300k to travel around the world in 365 days and blog it down on every place that I been which has always been a dream for me..
You all might wonder whether i did strike in the end.. and boy did I STRIKE !!! I won 20 bucks after placing 10 bucks bet.. which means minus the 10 bucks I still made a small sum of SGD$10 not 5.5million which I wish.. So the first thing in the morning tmr I will use the 10bucks to buy a good meal for kit & max.. ''
So guys , what will you all do if you strike 5.5million ???
Betray of Trust again !!!!

The ex—CEO of Ren Ci Hospital, Ming Yi has been sentenced to ten months jail. A district court has also sentenced his former aide, 34—year—old Raymond Yeung to nine months’ imprisonment.
47—year—old Ming Yi, whose real name is Goh Kah Heng and Raymond Yeung were convicted last month of falsifying Ren Ci payment vouchers.
The pair was involved in an unauthorised loan of S$50,000 made in 2004 to the Mandala Buddhist Cultural Centre, a religious artefact shop managed by Yeung.
They were also convicted of giving false information to the Commissioner of Charities.
District Judge Toh Yung Cheong said Ming Yi had abused his authority and betrayed the trust given to him.
He said the money could have been used to help the poor and needy patients.
In mitigation, Ming Yi’s lawyer Senior Counsel Andre Yeap argued against a jail sentence.
He said the "tsunami—sized" shame Ming Yi endured because of the trial is punishment enough.
He said Ming Yi had helped a lot of people even risking his life when performing physical stunts to raise money for Ren Ci.
Moreover, he also did not personally profit from the loan to Yeung.
But the prosecution, DPP Jaswant Singh, said a tough stand is needed when charitable funds are misused.
Moreover, Yeung put the money to "frivolous" use to renovate a friend’s flat in Hong Kong.
Both Ming Yi and Yeung have filed an appeal.
Andre Yeap, Ming Yi’s lawyer, said: "We actually have ten days to file a notice of appeal against sentencing. But for administrative reasons, we were told we have to file a notice of appeal today, so that’s been filed. I believe Raymond has filed a notice of appeal also for the same reason."
Both Ming Yi and Yeung had filed an appeal against their conviction last month.
Both men are now out on bail. Ming Yi’s was set at S$450,000 while Yeung’s is S$200,000
NKF aka National Kidney Foundation & Ren Chi Hospital.. Who's next ?? Are we still able to trust the charity here in singapore ?? Last saturday I walk past a student selling the flag of a charity which I won't say which charity was that.. She approached an auntie and I overheard that auntie asking her son not to donate any and to end it up , she says " who knows where the money will go to , maybe go to their own pocket"
I am not sure how the charity organisation in other country works but over here in sin, we have full trust in all charities until the NKF issue came up and follow by Ren Chi.. My sympathies go out to all those charities who are really in need of public funds in order to stay alfloat. Once bitten twice shy , They say singaporeans are very forgetful. After a while they will tend to forget the NKF issue but now Ren Chi scandal arise.. I doubt singaporeans are not that forgetful after these 2 cases.
In the past whenever I walk past a volunteer selling charities flag, i will never hestitate to dig out my loose change and donate in the tin.. but now I really had to think twice on whether the money I donate will really help the needy or make those idiots fatter ? I am not the only one who think like this after the 2 issue.. I believe it is not the first and it won't be the last ...
