New Boy Boy to our family !!!

Been such a long time since I last blog... been busy with so many things recently that 24hrs in a day is not enough for me ! will cut short the post as I need to catch up on my sleep as now is already 6.17am !! just came back from JB , so tired that I almost doze off while driving...

went to pasir ris farmway for a walk today , believe me I never had the intention or whatsoever to get a puppy because I already had 4 dogs , just window shopping for dog food and etc .. then I spotted him in the cage !! call it love at first sight or affinity as u like ! His special big small eyes captured my heart .. special it is ... tried to control myself from bringing him home but in the end I give in due to how cute he is ! so no choice as I have a soft spot for puppies.. name him boyboy and there u go , he is part of the family ! I hope that boyboy will be my last puppy as I really cannot continue getting puppies after puppies !

Hello Are You A Boss Part 2 ??

The place shown above in the pic is located at Bedok known as Bedok Market place otherwise also know as Simpang Bedok.. Just a small introduction on this place ...Bedok Market Place is one of the food havens in singapore, it is located near Bedok Road, around 200m from the main road, which is the Upper Changi Road East. It's somewhere between the Tanah Merah MRT station and Expo, and it's quite within walking distance from the Tanah Merah MRT station. Bedok Market place is like lined up with many eating outlets, serving local delights of roti prata, satay, roti john, zi char, western, etc etc. There's a whole stretch of tables lined up in front of the shops, and customers are free to seat anywhere along the stretch and order food from any of the stalls, without restrictions, like a hawker center just like WAI SEK KAI in KL. As most of the stalls are operated by the malay communities, the food here are mostly halal certified, attracting lots of malay folks to dine there with their wide variety of choices. Nevertheless, it also attracts many non-malays to gather there for dinner and sessions of chit chatting. Tables are plenty, and if you can't find one along the stretch, there is another whole stretch of tables along the other side of the shops.

Ok enough of the introduction.. this is also the place where I might open my upcoming pet shop.. why i used the word MIGHT is because I and my nephew are still looking into it.. Went to talk to the owner of the pet shop.. take over fee is the same as in woodlands and it is smaller and not that spacious compare to woodlands.. Rental is definitely cheaper here the shop is smaller.. around 250sqf. One thing good about this shop is that many existing customer in their records for grooming or delivery.. owner is letting go due to changing of trade after 9 years in the pet business..

Although I am still not too sure on which location to pick , but one thing I am sure is that for the coming weeks , I and my nephew will be working very hard on our plan and project , doing all the suvey and marketing and making this plan a reality..

Hello Are You A Boss ??

Hello Boss !!!

You'll wondering why did I upload this mall in my blog.. well this is The WoodGrove Mall , it is located at Woodlands Ave 1.. Counting back it is almost 5months since I last work and my body is itching for work ... afterall a person can't stay idle forever.. Came across an ad in the internet which says PET SHOP for Takeover.. So I had a discussion with my cousin whom both of us are dog lovers... we decided to take a look at the shop that is for takeover and if it is good I and my cousin will takeover the shop and become our own boss for the pet shop... Yipeee !!

As my cousin is still working, I made my way down to the mall today to do a survey.. the pet shop is quite spacious at 450sqf. After walking around the mall and the shop and around the vicinity , here is my finding.. the mall is surrounded by condos and landed property and it is the only pet shop around that area.. Only thing is the takeover fee is not cheap .. 5 figure sum ..rental wise is affordable.. Since I and my cousin are both pet lovers , why not channel this interest into a daily affair and be our own boss..

After working for 10 years , I think to myself whether I am ready to be a boss or just continue to be a salaried worker ?? After all the hard work and the hours you put in is all worth it because at the end of the day all the money goes into your pocket rather than your employer pocket.. Finally this is my break.. no more endure all the nonsense from bosses .. It is also a make or break for me like I told christy in her upcoming movie " The Rose " before.. If I make it then who knows by the age of 45 I can retire and even buy a farm in australia as this is always my dream.. but if it breaks (Touch wood) then I might be a bit too old to look for a job.. and all my years of hard saving might just be wipe out like that.. looks like I had to go down to the Guan Yin temple again ..

I throw it all out this time.. this is the only chance for me and I don't want to look back and think WHAT IF ?? . If Mr Kenny Yap(Qian Hu) can get himself public listed by selling fishes , why can't I KW get mysef also listed doing pet shop.. Ok this is our target , we had decided to break even by a year and by 3 years we intend to open at least 5 shops around singapore.. and in 5 years time our dream is to hit countries like malaysia , indonesia and thailand.. Lol , u all might laugh at me because business have not even start and yet dare to think so far.. Lol hahaha..

Tomorrow I still had to make a trip down to bedok to take a look at another pet shop for takeover... which after that I will have to make up my mind and liaise with the owner and do some renovation before opening.. Our target is to open our shop by MARCH .. And at the same time , we welcome all walks of people who wanna be our partners in this business .. With that I had to stop here as I gotta do my quotation ... so busy !!!!

Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple

Kwan Im Thong
Hood Cho Temple

178 Waterloo Street, Singapore 187964

Dear Readers,

Happy New Year to you all and may year 2010 be a better year in whatever you do... Although my rate of readers are really pathetic, 1 hand can count but I am still satisfied as 3 folllowers of my blog are better than none...

I don't know about you all but for me year 2009 is not a really good year for me.. don't wish to elaborate as never wash my dirty linen in public lor.. Finally year 2010 has come and like every year , I went down to the Goodness Of Mercy aka Guan Yin temple at Waterloo st to pray and at the same time ask for my overall for year 2010.. Just a short note to all those who do not know where is this temple.. this temple is very famous, Hongkong have it's own Wong Tai Sin temple, Thailand had it's own four face buddha, Malaysia had it's own very famous Perak Cave (Pi Li Tong) and Guan Yin temple in penang. And Singapore , she had this Guan Yin temple to be proud of.. a little history for all who is curious ..

The Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple was built in 1884 on a 500 square metre plot of
land along Waterloo Street. It has expanded over the years as a result of several renovations
and extensions to its premises.
The main objective of the temple was to provide a place of worship primarily of
Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, for the migrant Chinese population in Singapore.
When Singapore was bombed by the invading Japanese air force during World War
II, the Temple was spared, despite the near-total destruction of many adjacent buildings.
During this period the Temple provided refuge for the sick, the wounded and the homeless.
In 1983, the Temple was rebuilt and enlarged to its present day size and in 2001 it
was marked as a historic site.

Ask any auntie in singapore on where is this temple and they will tell u straight.. it is famous because it had been said that this temple is known for people to receive good luck after worshiping at the temple, thus making it a popular temple to visit. Most devotees visit the temple on the first or fifteenth day of Chinese New Year. The temple is well known for its divination activity. Qian or divining sticks which are wooden sticks with writing on it, are placed in a brass can and shaken. These cans have been resounding in the temple since 1884. When such sticks fallout, they are interpreted to tell one's future. In 1990, the temple was the first in Singapore to provide divination slips in English for English-educated devotees and visitors.

Like every year without fail, I also involve myself in the divination sticks aka qiu qian.. The divination in this temple is very very spot on and whenever I have issues that I can't think of a solution or need to ask for a guide , the divination stick that come out are always spot on.. many famous hongkong & local artist are known to visit this temple every now and then.. I got myself stick 23 and exchange for the pink slip of paper as shown above in the photo. It actually say that I have finally reached the gate of heaven and an old friend will let me in though the well guarded gate... it simple means good luck in year 2010 for me and everything will be smooth for me... I heave a sigh of relief when I saw this.. finally after so many years of not so good year, I finally have a better year to look forward to.. You might describe me as superstition but I really believe that when you have a religion , you have faith in the things you do...

Whether this stick 23 remains to be truth or not , it will have to wait until end of year 2010 where I will recall ... for now I am more than happy to kick start the year 2010.. If you all ever drop by singapore , do pay a visit to this temple and if you have issues or problem which you wanna ask, do take up the divination stick.. Qiu Qian..

ps : never ask for strike of lottery or 4D ....

My New Darling !!!

My New Found Love !!!
Came across an ads in the papers today which goes like this " 3 Australian Pure Breed Shi Tzu puppies for sale " As I always had a liking for Shi tzu , I decided to call up the owner to JUST view the puppies with no intention of buying as I already had Max & Kit (refer to my earlier blog) . Make an appointment at 8.30pm to view the puppies.
Met the couples who were from australia and here on business trips. It was Love at first sight when I saw her. So cute and lovely and the colour is rare for a shi tzu as they are from Australia and not local.. 6 months old . With no intention of buying in the first place change to I wanna have her straight away..
And guess how much I bought her ? only $500 sing dollars which is consider cheap for a puppy.. Worth every penny.. for now she will sleep with me instead of kit as I can't have the 2 puppies sleeping together on my bed.. she is just beside me on the bed as I am writing my blog..
From a scale of 1 to 5 , how much do you rate her in terms of cuteness ?? do drop a comment on her ok ... had to go now as she is tired. by the way her name is krystal ...

Best CheeseCake In Singapore !!!

BEST CHEESECAKE I EVER ATE !!!

Do you like cheesecake ?? For me, my craving for cheesecake started when I was in my poly days where we used to always hang out at holland V coffee bean for a cuppa of frappucino and a slice of cheesecake.. Ever since after I started my journey of finding the best cheesecake in singapore , until my weight ballooned to such an extent that I know I had to stop .... looking back that was like 13 years ago...
Where is the best cheesecake in singapore ?? Pine Garden suitated at Blk 529 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 #01-2369. This cheesecake is simply fabulous which instantly took over my No 1 spot which used to occupied by Hilton. For such a long time I can't find a better cheesecake than Hilton until I lay my hands on Pine Garden's Cake. This cheesecake is not too sweet yet refreshing , I can eat this all day and not sense that cheese and cream lining my walls inside. It was soft, smooth, light, soooo pretty.... Just one word to describe it "Fabulous" Mama Mia !!!
Cost $49.90 for this cake , ya quite ex as you might say but hey you get what you paid .. It is worth every penny.. once again my philosophy of good food does not neccesary be served in a posh place is correct. They also sell Log Cakes for X'mas. So if you do not crave for log cakes then get this cheesecake for this festival season... Die die must try !! "A man's poison is another man's meat " Below are my top 5 ranking for the best cheesecake in singapore .

1.) Pine Garden's Cake.

2.) Hilton.

3.) Secret Recipe.

4.) The Atrium Deli @ Pan Pacific.

5.) The CheeseCake Cafe @ East Coast Rd ( Service sucks)

ps * do drop a comment if you think there is a place that sell yummy cheesecake and it is not listed in the above top 5. Thanks !!
